At Ensign Family Medicine you will encounter four advanced trained professionals to care for your family; Dr. White (click to view his profile), Max Smith, PA-C, Marianna Terzian, PA-C and Domonique Katona, PA-C.  All of our professionals are licensed and certified by their respective Boards.

Each of our Providers will deliver your family the utmost care and respect.  Since all of our providers work closely together, if you are ever unable to see your usual Healthcare Professional, one of the others will work with you in the same manner you have become accustomed. 


What is a PA?

AAPA

PA is the abbreviated name for an advanced degree medical professional titled Physicians Assistant. PAs are trained for several years after college to care for most of the conditions your family could experience during their lifetimes and be cared for in our clinic.  They work closely with a licensed Medical Doctor and make up a team to provide your family with the care you need.  For more information about Physicians Assistants, please read this FAQ:  What is a PA?.pdf


S. Max Smith, PA-C

Max Smith is a Physician Assistant who joined our practice in January 2012. He is excited to be a part of our team providing personalized care and dedication to his patients.

Max’s post secondary education began at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where he earned a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience. Upon completing his Bachelor’s Max attended Touro University Nevada in Henderson, where he earned his Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies. He is currently certified by The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Max also served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for two years in Mexico City. He is fluent in Spanish and loves Mexico City cuisine.

When not working to care for his patients, Max is at home helping his beautiful wife raise their three children. He enjoys past times of fly fishing, fixing and driving remote control cars, swimming, and watching college football. Having grown up in Orem, Utah he is a dedicated fan of the BYU Cougars and thanks to his family in Phoenix he is now an Arizona Cardinals fan.

Domonique Katona, PA-C

Head-UNLV-Arch-ColorDomonique Katona is a Certified Physician Assistant.  She has been a valuable part of our team since 2016 and is committed to serving the healthcare needs and well-being of you, your family and friends.  She spends quality time with every patient and takes time to address their specific needs and concerns. 

Domonique received a Bachelor’s of Science in Biotechnology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and received a dual Master’s Degree from Touro University Nevada in Medical Health Science and Physician Assistant Studies.  She is affiliated with the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Nevada Academy of Physician Assistants.    

Domonique has resided in Las Vegas for over 15 years.  She can’t deny her California roots having spent a large portion of her life in Oceanside and Chico.  She is happily married and has two fur babies. During her free time she loves to travel, hike and volunteer in the community.  


Marianna Terzian, PA-C

Marianna Terzian is a Physician Assistant practicing at Ensign Family Medicine since January 2016. She was born in Yerevan, Armenia and migrated to the United States of America with her family at the age of three. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University Nevada Las Vegas and received her Master’s in Health Sciences in 2013 from Touro University Nevada Henderson.  She continued her education at Touro University of Nevada and earned her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies. She is currently certified by The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She has special interests in diabetes management, thyroid disease, hypertension and women’s health. When she is not with patients, Marianna serves her community as an active member of the Armenian Relief Society and is fluent in Armenian. She enjoys baking, cooking and spending time with her husband.
